Recipe of the Week: Homemade Ice Cream

Welcome to our first Recipe of the Week! Since the whole family is in town, we thought it would be fun to have a homemade ice cream celebration! Neither of us have ice cream makers however, so this recipe will be perfect for us. This way, each family member can pick the ice cream flavor and fillings they want (think candy bars, caramel, nutella, chocolate chips, nuts, marshmallows, strawberries, syrups, peanut butter, jams--endless possibilities!) and we can freeze smaller containers.

So here it is: Homemade Ice Cream from Kevin & Amanda

Easy Homemade Ice Cream without a Machine

Homemade Ice Cream
2 cups heavy cream
1 (14 oz.) Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk
Flavors, Toppings, and Mix-Ins!

Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks in large bowl. Add your flavors, toppings, and mix-ins to the sweetened condensed milk. Then fold in the whipped cream.

Pour into a 2-quart container and cover. Freeze 6 hours or until firm. Store in freezer.

I can't wait to try this! I would love to have just a little bit of a ton of different flavors. I might have to look up how to make chocolate too. Delicious! Can't wait for this weekend.
